Arizona Business Feature: Fearfully Made Creations

A shop was never my dream, but now I have grown to have big dreams for my shop. When locals support Fearfully Made Creations, they are supporting me and allowing me to support my family. And that means so much to me!

We're so excited to bring you our very first Arizona business feature! Today we are lucky enough to introduce you to Ashley of Fearfully Made Creations.

Fearfully Made Creations is a brand new business created in Yuma, Arizona. Frustrated with not being able to land a job upon moving, she opened her Etsy shop at the persistence of her friend. In the first few months of being open she has seen success, and rightfully so! Her pieces are beautiful and you can tell how much care goes into each piece. Beautiful photos help too, right? Below are my two favorites:

Gather Tray

Ashley's items are gorgeous and would make great gifts -- housewarming, Valentines, any occasion really!

We asked Ashley a few questions about what local means to her:

What are some of your favorite local Arizona small businesses?

Bare Naked Soap Company, Desert Olive Farms, Cheeky Boutique, and Dream Boutique! Some of my favorite small work-from-home businesses and makers include Olivewood Designs and Ava Berry Lane.

What's your "hidden Arizona gem" business that more people should know about?

Desert Olive, for sure!! My husband and I discovered their little shop in downtown Yuma a few months ago. They own an olive farm that is located several miles north and they make their own olive oils, jarred olives, organic facial scrubs, and other similar products. I love buying gifts there, and also taste testing all of the different olive oils!

What impact do you think keeping our money local has not only on the economy, but on the culture and community of Arizona?

Circulating our money into our own economy has tremendous impact. Not only are we supporting small businesses, but we are supporting our own neighbors and friends! It creates a great sense of community when you are able to walk into a store and have someone know your name. It's also wonderful to know that you are from the same culture and you can celebrate that. Small businesses are the ones that you will see at the local fairs, supporting local causes, and participating in the community.

Thank you so much Ashley for being a part of Curate Arizona. We hope a lot of people have found something they love and a new business to favorite!
